Genetic testing institution

In order to provide genetic testing services to medical institutions and other customers, we established a genetic testing institution and notified the relevant authorities in July 2016.

In Korea, genetic testing can only be performed upon request from a medical institution or when it is deemed necessary by the Minister of Health and Welfare. Institutions wishing to conduct such tests must be equipped with the necessary facilities and personnel according to the Ministry of Health and Welfare Ordinance depending on the tests to be performed and report it to the Minister of Health and Welfare. They are also evaluated on the accuracy of genetic tests under the guidelines of the Minister of Health and Welfare.

Clinical trial sample analysis institute

We were designated as a clinical trial sample analysis institute by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety in October 2019. This allows us to offer sample analysis services with the application of next-generation sequencing (NGS) to domestic and foreign pharmaceutical companies in exploratory clinical studies and clinical trials to obtain approval of new drugs. Also, it has provided us with an opportunity to utilize our analytical services while jointly developing companion diagnostic technology with domestic and multinational pharmaceutical companies.
